Build Updates

Building plans - work is temporarily on hold while we complete the house design and apply for a building permit. We hope to begin building by late April.

March 17 - 27 - completed interior demolition, removed window and door trim, kitchen and bath floor, all old wiring, and took chimney down to the basement.

March 10 and 13 - Wednesday, removed kitchen cabinets and dining room wainscoting, door and window casings. Saturday, we had a crew of Williams students. Continued demolition, removing sheetrock, ceiling tiles and insulation from kitchen, dining room and small bedroom. Took down chimney to just above ceiling joists.

Saturday, March 6, we had a crew of MCLA students to begin demolition inside the house, removing sheetrock, ceiling tiles, furring strips and insulation from the bedrooms, livingroom and bath.

The weekend of February 21, we had two large trees taken down, one crowding the deck and the other too large and close to the house. Not that we don't like trees - we left a large tree toward the back of the lot that will give good shade to the house.

We purchased property in Williamstown in November 2009 for our new project, a rehab of a small home. We are working on renovation plans and will begin initial work in the house in early spring 2010.
